New York: Forest and Stream Oublishing Co, 1885. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Poor. Contents arranged in 2 Parts: Canoe Cookery, which includes cooking fish freshly caught, and Camp Cookery. Each Part begins with a Chapter on Equipment. Covers Soups, Fish, Meat & Game, Vegetables and has a final chapter on "Dishes for Yachtsmen". Brown cloth cover with Black & Gilt illustration of Outdoor Cooking. Lovely Gilt illustration of Hunters with "Forest and Stream" above in top left corner. 96 Pages, 200g, 7 1/2" Tall. Front board is detached. Over half the cloth missing from spine. The first 30 Pages are detached but present due to damage at the spine area. Title page has bits missing around edges but all text is intact. The paper is brittle around the edges with some marginal tears to fore page edges and some near spine but all the Text is intact and all pages are clean. No inscriptions except penciled ref. No. on copyright page, penciled note as to the book belonging to Mrs Talcott Williams and an inked Ref No on the Contents Page. Small library sticker in bottom corner of front cover and a gift label to a Teacher's College Library on the rear endpapr. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" Tall
