Tan cloth with gilt titling on green leather spine labels, blind-stamped simple borders on fronts and backs, top text block edges are gilt, coloured end papers, sepia frontispiece with captioned tissue-guard, illustrated with sepia and colour plates, facsimiles of letters with captioned tissue-guards.
