Fine, in decorated leatherette binding and gilt lettering; all edges gilt; no dust jacket, as issued. The frontispiece by David Tamura was specially commissioned by the Franklin Library for this edition. Doug Selby starred in nine novels, beginning with this one "The D.A.Calls it Murder" which traces Selby's investigation into the mysterious death of a clergyman at the Madison Hotel. Selby suspects foul play although the signs point to suicide. A beautifully produced collector's edition bound in gilt-stamped leatherette. Part of the Franklin Library of Mystery Masterpieces series.. Reprint/1st. Thus. Hard Cover. Fine/No Jacket. Book.
