London: Chapman & Dodd, Ltd., llll Hard cover 8vo, in green-tan cloth decorated with pictorial border and titles in blue to front and upon spine, color frontispiece plus additional color plate in addition to many line illustrations, x, 127 pp. Inscription in fountain pen dated 1925 to ffep. Original dust jacket, unclipped. Printed by Cahill and Co., London, Dublin and Drogheda. **Condition: Very Good, with very light foxing along edge of text block and upon interior pages. Otherwise, tight, clean and hinges in order. Dust jacket is Very Good, still bright with the spine unsunned, with some small chips along top and bottom edges. **This was the first part of a five-book set with the additional titles on British birds, reptiles, butterflies and moths, and insects. . Hard Cover. Very Good /Very Good. Illus. by Doris Meyer.
