Published by Blackie and Son Limited, London, 1903. 12mo up to 7½" tall.,, 384pp. with 10 full-page illustrations by Wal Paget; with 32pp. rear publisher's ads, some with full page illustrations. Blue cloth boards with gilt, red, brown, and black illustrations to front and spine. Boards have rubbing to edges, light spine lean, front hinge lightly weakened. Prize label to free endpaper, foxing to verso of frontispiece; an occasional smudge mark in text. In good to very good condition.
The Carlist Wars were a series of civil wars that took place in Spain during the 19th century.
