About This Item
Greenwich: New York Graphic Society, 1972. Canadian master printmaker Saul Field created a "Bloomsday Suite" for exhibition in 1967, reflecting his fascination with James Joyce's "Ulysses." This beautiful book is based upon that endeavor, containing numerous illustrations. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition, which is LIMITED to 250 copies. Light green cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine. Clean text; 120 pages. SIGNED by Saul Field and Morton Levitt on the Title Page. Includied is an original engraving printed on Barcham green paper, also signed and numbered by the artist. Tiny hints of corner bumping, else a Fine copy. The dustjacket is showing some delamination of the acetate. The light green folder that protects the original print has a small spot on the front cover; the cloth-covered slipcase has some edgewear and light fading. A solid copy, and rather uncommon today.. Signed by Author & Illustrator. Limited. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus. Illus. by Saul Field. Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall.
