Oshawa, Ontario: Self Published By the Authors. Good+ in Poor dust jacket. 1974. Limited Edition First Printing. Hardcover. 384 p. 23 cm. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards. Rub wear to the corners and edges. Text block edges have a little soil and foxing, with a faint moisture stain on the top edge. Gift inscription and author's signatures on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, with a corner crease to the bottom of 20 pages. The dust jacket is in poor condition with heavy edge wear, rubbing, chips, staining and tears. Tears to the spine and flap folds are partially reinforced with cello tape on the reverse side. Will be shipped in a fresh mylar protector. A reading copy only. A highly regarded annotated list of all species of birds that have been reliably observed in the City of Oshawa and former townships of Whitby, East Whitby, Darlington, Reach, Scugog, and Cartwright. For each of the 308 species, it describes relative abundance, seasonal occurence, migration periods, and so on. There are also appendices on winter bird counts, waterfowl banding, an eastern bluebird nest-box project, and more. Signed by both authors on the front free endpaper. Copy number 1206 of a limited first printing. .
