Department of Education, Dublin, first edition, 1936. Cloth, 8vo, 25 cm,. xxxviii, 177 pp. Over 1393entries. A very valuable bibliography based on the holdings of the Irish National Library, including many rare pamphlets, journals and papers of the period. An 18 page introduction provides an explanatory guide to the literature and is followed by a detailed 12 page chronology. The bibliography is arranged in five chapters - 1: General and Introductory; 2 : From the Home Rule Bill (1912) to 1916; 3 : the Insurrection of 1916; 4 : from 1916 to the General Election (1919); 5 : Dail Eireann (1919 -1921). Entries in the bibliography are annotated to indicate the point of view and authority of the writer, and, in the case of periodical publications, the circumstances under which they were produced and circulated. Covers slightly rubbed and marked, contents Very Good.
