Millar, and is Volume III of what appears to be a planned four-volume publication. Each volume includes an introduction, a name and subject index, and appendixes of related documents. The five hundred letters in this volume cover Disraeli's first session in parliament and his first re-election. His main correspondents are his sister and confidante, Sarah, and Mary Anne Lewis, whom he courts and marries in these years. Tan cloth with gilt titling on black faux-label on spine, blind-stamped "D" on front, black end papers, black and white illustrations in text, 458 pages. Upper text block edge has a tiny speck and two light pressure marks. Dust jacket has minor edge wear and light shelf wear. Book is clean, bright and tight.
