About This Item
Multiple penciled underlined passages and notes in the margins. Volume is from a university professor's private library. Blank name label is attached to the top outside corner of the front free paper. A card holder is attached to the back free end paper. The binding is tight and square with very minor wear along the upside edges. DJ is age-toned with chips along outside edges and spine. From the front DJ flap, "The author deals with the major themes associated with the existentialism of Pascal, Kierkegaard, Heidegger, Jaspers and Tillich, and he does this on the supposition that 'the task of first philosophy is to exorcise despair'."
