Battleship Texas is the lone survivor of the first generation of dreadnoughts, the world's most complex and dominating weapon of the early twentieth century. Thie ship, the only intact vessel of any nation to have survived both world wars, house the largest surviving reciprocation engines. It was the most powerful ship in the world. This book is a thorough walking tour as well as a lively history of the ship with the accompanying photographs. A fine copy bound in blue cloth, spine lettering black, in a fine pictorial dust jacket.
