Full blue-green cloth, gilt titles on spine & facsimile signature on front board; xiii, 431 pp, 8 ff b & w photo plates, index. One corner bumped. DJ with slight edge wear, corners clipped but price still present; in Brodart archival cover. From the DJ of volume one: "Bernard M. Baruch--one of the most remarkable men of our time--was an office boy at nineteen, a Wall Street partner at twenty-five, and a milllionaire before he was thirty-five. ... In the fifty years since he made his first fortune, Bernard Baruch has been a trusted counselor of presidents, an adviser on social and economic reforms...." This volume begins with Baruch's departure from Wall street, after which he served as chairman of the War Industries Board during World War One, and on the peace missions at the ends of both World Wars. Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. We will ship via Priority Mail for $12.00 per order (Save on multiple-book orders!). This may be reduced if actual postage is less than for a medium flat-rate box. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. International shipping rates are complex (cost depends upon weight and destination), so please feel free to email us for a quote before you order. If the actual cost of shipping is more than the automatically quoted rate, you must approve the additional charges before the order will be shipped.
