Original soiled blue boards with gilt stamping on type on spine and people in a sleigh on the front cover and gilt page edges. Worn with bumped corners. Backwoods with 12 wood cut illustrations (all called for) plus Niagara Falls from the Ferry engraving at front. Oregon with the frontis image of the Mouth of the Columbia River two maps (full page and folding). Overall, very good condition.
The Oregon Territory Consisting of a Brief Description of the Country and its Productions; And of the Habitats and Manners of the Native Indian Tribes. The Oregon Territory, 1860 is the second edition (first was 1846). Contains Illustration at front and map on page 64 and the fold-out on p.102. Inside the paper is clean. Overall condition is very good.
