Casper, Wyoming: D. Appleton & Co. Fine. 1930. First Edition. Hardcover. Signed by Author . Signed by author. Exceptional copy. Bright blue cloth with bright gilt title on the cover and spine. Signed "Florence Ryerson and" (first signature) "Colin Clements" (second signature) on the ffep. No inscription. Minimal wear on the corner tips; light shadow tone inside the cover and along the edges. Ryerson and Clements wrote two of the earliest novels featuring teenage girlhood, This Awful Age and Mild Oats. Both adapted to first plays and then film. Ryerson is perhaps best known for co-scripting "The Wizard of Oz" . An exceptionally nice copy. ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall .
