Doubleday, Page & Co. NY., 1900 Book size about 5 1/4 by 7 3/4 inches with some 349 pages. Bound in rough nubby tan cloth with front cover illustration and black lettering. Spine lettering in black. Illustrated with 26 full page images by Florence Scovel Shinn. In the original dust wrapper which states 'Fifth Thousand' on the front cover and shows the price of $1.25 on the spine. Early printing with date of 1905 on title page. Book with previous owner ink writing at front; corners lightly bumped. Wrapper with light edge chipping; light chipping to spine top/bottom; small piece missing from the spine. Lovely bright clean copy in the exceedingly scarce dust wrapper. NEAR FINE/VERY GOOD. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good.
