Illustrator: Photographic. 1.7 kg; 336 pages, last page blank, with conversion charts, and index. The colour illustrated dust jacket is faded on the spine section, and the left-hand side of the front panel. Otherwise it and the book are in very good order. Probably the one thing that sets this book apart from all the other cookbooks produced for Australia, is that each fish when described, is also described in terms of its habitat, table quality, and most importantly, the American equivalent fish, and where not identical the differences noted. This makes it a breeze to convert an American recipe using a particular type of fish to an Australian dish. The illustrations are in colour, with many being double page.
