Hardcover. Publisher's original lemon yellow cloth over boards, gilt lettering to spine. Book Condition: cocked, covers with various types of staining, wear to edges, frazzled to the visible boards in small spots here and there; very slight wave to pages in places; on the other hand-no yellowing to pretty much pristine pages, illustrations brilliant and fresh, binding solid. Dust Jacket Condition: every sort of chipping, creasing and tears to edges, grotty along 1/32 inch of jacket flaps and bottom edge, meanwhile, largely intact, unclipped with proper $17.50 price intact, jacket colors brilliant and fresh. Good+ in a Good+ Jacket of the true first printing; where the true first printing matters-the quality of the plates a cut above every subsequent printing, edition, reprint etc. Introduction by James Thrall Soby.
