Description:
The English Association, 1913 Published by The English Association, Imperial College Union, South Kensington, London June . London 1913., 1913. Publisher's original card wrapper, black title and author lettering to the upper panel. 8vo. 9½'' x 6''. 16 printed pages of text. The pamphlet is without annotations or ownership names, but there is a rather attractive blind stamp on the title page, which can be seen in the photos. Gosse has a style many would now dismiss as orotund and with sentences too long, and with far too many commas and clauses; for anyone who admires this formal writing style this is an outstanding example. I would say it is of great historical interest.. Soft cover. Very Good.
