About This Item
Tucson, AZ 1933-1934: Hammer and Coffin Publication. Quarto. Bacil Warren attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a B.A. in English in 1938. While at the University he wrote for the Kitty Kat humor magazine. Nine issues from the months of Sept-Dec 1933 and Jan-May 1934. The Kitty-Kat, humor literary publication of the University of Arizona, was published monthly from Sept-June by the Associated students. Contains stories, comics, news, advertisements and the December 1933 issue has a two page spread on the Arizona-Whittier football team with a few photographs of players and list of their names. One player from Whittier was Richard Nixon, who tried out for football but lacked the size to play. He remained on the team as a substitute. All bound together in 1/4 green cloth over marbled paper covered boards lettered in black, some wear to cloth on spine, corners worn. A very good bound set.
