About This Item
Wilkinsburg PA: The Student Body, 1924. 176p., printed on glossy alkaline paperstock throughout, the usual yearbook format hardbound in flexible black oilcloth boards titled in embossed blind. Rear joint is split for one inch, the sole external damage; internally find a sandpapered erasure on the front free endsheet, the only marking within. No autographs, no ownership (erased?), a good sound copy. In smalltown Pennsylvania before the Crash of 29, it would seem one put on formal attire for a yearbook photo; even the drama clubbers are mostly shown in street clothes not costume. Performances included The Importance of Being Earnest, H.M.S. Pinafore, The Rivals, a play presented in French (Les Boulinard) and one in Spanish (Zaragueta).
