At the Parliament Begun and Holden at Westminster the Thirty First Day of May, Anno Dom. 1754 in the Twenty Seventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second, By the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, &c. And From Thence Continued, By Several Prorogations, To the Thirteenth Day of November, 1755, Being the Third Session of this Present Parliament. London: Printed by John Baskett; and by the assigns of Robert Baskett, 1755 [i.e. 1756]. 492, 993-994, [2], 499-[580], [593]-698, [14] pp. Lacks text of Act XXXV. Same general title page preceding each act, Acts IV-XL dated 1756. Folio (12" x 7"). Contemporary reverse calf, blind rules and fillets to boards, rebacked in period style reverse calf with raised bands, blind fillets and lettering piece to spine. Light rubbing and a few small spots, scuffs and scratches to boards, moderate rubbing and light wear to board edges, corners bumped and worn, upper corner of front board mended, hinges cracked, minor worming to rear pastedown. Light toning to interior, somewhat heavier in places, light foxing in a few places, minor worming to bottom margin of last quarter of text block, no loss to text, small early manicule to p. [4] of table. An appealing copy. $950. * A collection of 39 acts passed in the third session of the eleventh Parliament of Great Britain, with tables listing the titles of the public acts (including 54 not published in this collection) and summaries of 54 private acts. Some of the more interesting acts involve taxation, commerce and the military, including an act designed to restrict the sale, export, or "carrying Coastwise" of gunpowder, materials involved in the making of gunpowder, or "any sort of Arms or Ammunition."
