About This Item
New York: Kuttroff, Pickhardt & Co, 1920. Hardcover. Good. 4to. 8pp of thick card in which are inset 32 samples dyes threads per page, for a total of 256 samples, going through rose hues, then blues, greens, grays and violets, then reds and pinks, yellows, oranges and browns. Black textured cloth, gilt title on upper board. There is insect damage to the spine and rear board and a small amount of damage to the last leaf. The text gives the quantity of dye needed for 100 lbs. of wool.
The publishers are importers of dyestuffs, colors and chemicals from Badische Anilin- & Soda-Fabrik, Ludwigshafen, Germany. Undated, but before 1925 as in that year Kuttroff, Pickhardt & Co. merged with General Dyestuff Corporation.
