San Francisco; (1930): San Francisco Center--Rosicrucian Fellowship. First Edition. Octavo. 209p. Inscribed January 27,1931: "A birthday remembrance to our Beloved Leader, Mrs. Max Heindel. May the great-Cosmic Law grant unto thee both Wisdom and Strength to Steer the Good Ship of the Elder Brothers of the cross, and permit thee to Spend many more birthday [sic] in our midst. Your friend and coworker, S.R. Parchment." The Rosicrucian Anthroposophical League was founded in 1932 by S.R. Parchment, as astrologer and occultist who trained with Max Heindel. During the 1920's Parchment became a leader in the Rosicrucian Fellowship founded by Heindel which published his early writings. However, he broke away from the fellowship center in San Francisco. He became famous for his textbook, Astrology, Mundane and Spiritual. A remarkable copy in terms of its connection with the earliest influence on Parchment and inscribed just weeks after the copy came out. Bound in blue cloth, decorated and lettered in gilt, red and black. Light wear along edges with some light pencil marks but a good copy with ex-library stamp on front endpaper.
