New York: Basic Books, 2004. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Blue hardcover 1st edition in dustjacket. Signed without inscription using a simple "SV" in black sharpie to the title page. A very good copy with bumping to the spine ends and corners, and a black remainder mark to the bottom of the textblock edge. Interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. Unclipped jacket is also very good, bright and attractive, with general wear and bending at the panel edges. 253 pp., indexed. Vaidhyanathan's examination of the impact of the virtual world on reality and the growing battle between idealogies of freedom vs. control.
