London, Ward, Lock and Co., Warwick House, Salisbury Square, E.C. New York: 10, Bond Street, no date, circa 1880.. Victorian edition, circa 1880?. 8vo, approximately 190 x 125 mm, 7½ x 5 inches, 2 colour plates before title page with a single tissue guard between them (meats and fruits), small text illustrations throughout, pages: 6, 1-371 plus 8 pages of adverts, pastedowns and endpapers are adverts, publisher's pictorial red cloth with gilt and black lettering, gilt backgrounds and black decorations. Binding has slight wear to head and tail of spine, slight rubbing to hinges and a few small marks to covers, slight shelf wear to edges of covers and corners, pale age-toning to pages, 4 pages have some minor pale brown stains, otherwise a good copy.
