Hardback book is tight and clean with a hint of lean. Boards sharp and clean, with light handling marks. Text block clean, and unmarked. Feel very gently read. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Spine cloth nice. Near fine condition. No jacket as issued. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A very nice copy of this title, the original manuscript of Alice in Wonderland in facsimile with the authors illustrations. Also has an forward by Alice Liddell's granddaughter. An introduction discussing the relationship between the Liddell family and Lewis, how the original story became to be written, and how the manuscript version was published. A great addition to a Alice colleciton.
Synopsis
Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There , tell the story of a young girl in a fantasy world filled with peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures. The classic tale of literary nonsense takes the reader on an exploration of logic and absurdities. The Alice books — sometimes combined or referred to with the abbreviated title Alice in Wonderland — have been translated into at least 97 languages with over a hundred different editions. The books have also been adapted numerous times into films (both live-action and cartoon), plays, and musicals.
