She made him Laureate after the death of Wordsworth. An interesting, detailed memoir, with many letters included. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Two volumes; 516 pages and 551 pages. Volume II is indexed and a page of publisher's adverts for its various editions of Tennysen's works. Green cloth bindings with gilt lettering on the spine. Very mildly bumped; a few scuffs on the covers, but withal a very nice and solid set. No dustjackets Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket.
