Initially published as a quarterly newsletter aimed at disseminating information on population problems in Africa between governments and voluntary agencies. This first issue includes forewords by R.K.A. Gardiner, Executive Secretary of the Commision; Paul G. Hoffman, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme; and Milos Macura, Director of the United Nations Population Division.
