Originally published in 1837, this is a Very Good (Plus) copy of a Later Printing by Putnam's, part of the Geoffrey Crayton Edition of Irving's Works - the "Author's Revised Edition." This is the eighth volume (of twenty-seven in the full set) . Green cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine and crossed pens on the front cover. Clean text; 524 pages. Frontis and three other illustrations, with a fold-out map. Some very light wear at the margins only. A solid, readable copy of this classic book.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
