Raleigh, North Carolina: W.R. Gales, Register Office, 1845. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. 16mo 6" - 7" tall. Scarce in the trade. Ex-library copy with usual markings to spine, endpapers, etc., including remains of paper stickers on covers. Originally softcover, now rebound in black buckram with new endpapers. Text foxed with repairs to the margins of the title and last page; stamping thereto as well. Bishop Davis was the brother of George Davis, the Attorney-General of the Confederate States. Some foxing to title page, notes of accession, etc., but internally clean. 16 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
