Eyre and Spottiswode,. Hardback. First cheap edition. The story of a family set in a suburb of New York. A stand-alone novel from the author best know for My Friend Flicka. Red boards with black titles to spine are clean and neat. Colour illustrated dust jacket is a little baggy, rubbed to edges with some creasing to spine edges and a 1cm tear to bottom edge. Very good copy in good dust jacket . Hardback. 1952.
