Fine-looking, structurally set of individual contributions to Volume II of this influential and important academic journal of Western Americana. Tape-repaired Prospectus of Volume II is laid in, being eight pages, staple-bound and listing the illustrations in the volume. Robert Selden Rose contributes "The Portola Expedition of 1769-1770, Diary of Vicente Vila," Porter Garnett contributes "Papers of the San Francisco Committee of Vigilance of 1851, II," then an essay by Herbert Eugene Bolton follows, "Expedition to San Francisco Bay in 1770, Diary of Pedro Fages," then "The Portola Expedition of 1769-1770, Diary of Miguel Costanso," by Frederick J. Teggart, and finally, Charles Edward Chapman adds "Expedition on the Sacramento and an Joaquin Rivers in 1817, Diary of Fray Narcisco Duran." Each individual contribution is bound in tan wraps, original, perfect-bound, clean and unmarked, then housed in a simple, structurally sound cardboard slipcase.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
