About This Item
New York. Letters. Very Good. 3 signed, handwritten letters by leading late 19th-early 20th century American architect Charles C. Haight (1841-1917), who was responsible for much of the design of Columbia's previous campus (at Madison Ave. & 49th St. in NYC) and Yale's current campus. 2 of the letters are single page, the 3rd letter 2 pages. And 2 of the 3 are written on Charles Haight's personal staionary. All 3 letters are crisp and eminently legible, with a touch of staining and abrading at several spots. The letters date from 1873, 1876 and 1877.
