[14], 266, [8] pages; Contents clean and secure in original pinkish brown cloth binding with gilt lettering at spine and front board and six gilt ornaments to front board of bird with a leaved branch with berries. Binding has some wear at spine ends and lower corners, a half inch abrasion at edge of spine and a half inch spot on rear board. OCLC 317949455 Cloth binding designed by Charles Ricketts; endpapers by Lucien Pissarro. Illustrated with 23 Plates; ornate capitals and a few text illustrations. Literary contents include Austin Dobson, Edmund Gosse, Max Beerbohm et al. Illustrations includes pictures by Gustave Moreau, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Charles Condor, Edward Burne Jones, George Frederick Watts, Charles Hazelwood Shannon; Walter Crane, et al.; lacks the two leaves with Lucien Pissarro woodcut (pp 59-62). Includes the essay "The Pictures of Gustav Moreau" by Gleeson White. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years.
