Schlager; early days, charter signers for the line, steam cars, the ups and downs of the development of the system, addition of branches and lines of transportation, commuter considerations and a final section "What's Ahead for the Seventies?" giving the news of large equipment orders, grade crossing eliminations, construction of new stations, tunnels from Queens to Manhattan, airport access, "...twin-powered gas turbine/electric commuter car capable of high performance of either electrified or non-electrified right-of-way..." and more; about 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" size; stock; light wear, little darkening; very good condition, interesting Long Island Rail Road ephemeral item from the 1970s, interesting 'snapshot' view of the line's state of affairs at the time. .
