English and Dutch text.; Paperback; 21 x 20.9 cm; 0.221 Kg; 80 pages with colour illustrations; Used book with signs of wear, namely on the front cover, spine and back cover. Edgeworn. Interior as new.; "The Princessehof collections incorporate two series of Chinese gouaches illustrating the manufacture of porcelains in China. Each series is painted in a distinctive style. There are fourty scenes in all which partly complement one another as far as their content is concerned. The larger series, with twenty-eight scenes, each one sized 28 cm by 30 cm, is the subject of this presentation. It probably dates late 18th century. Originally bought in Canton, it was presented during the 1930' to Nanne Ottema, founder of the Princessehof, by the Vereeniging van Vrienden der Aziatische Kunts, Amsterdam, as a gift.
