Thomas E. Tausly in The Oxford Companion of Canadian Literature, second edition, describes Simpson as a "rarity among Canadian writers" and a "comic novelist of ideas." This edition may be described as being in good condition, with some staining to the back cover and a tear to the bottom of the back cover. This edition is inscribed and signed by the other.
