It is our purpose to give (D.V.) a verse by verse exposition of the fourth Gospel in the course of this series of studies, but be turning to the opening verses of chapter I it will be necessary to consider John's Gospel as a whole, with the endeavor of dis its scope, its central theme, and its relation to the other three Gospels.
