Description:
London: Hamish Hamilton, 1983. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean. There is a small remainder mark ("R" in black ink) on the front fixed end paper, but no other marks or signs of previous use. The light brown covers are fresh, with just a touch of wear at tips and corners. The gilt spine lettering is still shiny. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent conditions -- no tears or damage. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: "Great Hemming is an unremarkable place - school, duck pond, main street. But then something very unusual happens to the children of Great Hemming. Peter Theale first notices it one morning when he joins his classmates for school. His teacher, Jenny Marsh, notices it, too. Something has taken over the minds of the children of Great Hemming. Could it be connected with the Department of Paranormal Psychology… Read More
