First Published 1945" stated on the verso of the contents page; however, this is the 1965 unauthorised edition that was withdrawn from sale when the author discovered its existence. Dark-red, buckrum-covered boards with gilt lettering to the spine. 500 copies printed, some 280 copies sold with a dust jacket before sale was stopped. No faults for the book, about as nice a copy as you are likely to find. The dust jacket has two very small edge tears, otherwise fine; protected by a clear, removable cover.
