Marbled decoration to the head, tail and fore edge of the text block then burnished at the head. This fantastic set was limited to 1000 copies this being number 567. It contains a reproduction of the newspaper produced by the Polar team that accompanied Scott. It was produced in collaboration with the Royal Geographical Society, the British Library and the Scott Polar Research Institute to honour the centenary of the death of Captain Scott and his companions. It contains 12 facsimiles, reproduced with original paper covers, in cloth covered presentation box with a magnetic clasp with an inset cloth label on the box opening. The box measures 30.3x21.6x13.7cms. The commentary volume by Ann Savours, is bound in dark blue cloth gilt blocked with SPT monogram, housed in a separate slipcase, with a ribbon marker, 220 pages.
