A large paper copy. 24pp + xxviiipp + 406pp, 6pp, + 498pp.; Portrait frontispiece, 2 coloured maps and all plates as called for. In early full brown leather, respined in leather with original leather laid on, some wear to spine, but a very sound and attractive copy aeg., see Boyne CLIV. A lasting memorial to the learning of the author, Hunter was born in Sheffield in 1783, in 1833 he became Sub-Commissioner of the Public Records and was made Assistant Keeper in 1838. He died in 1861 and is buried at Ecclesfield. A good clean set of this elusive edition. .
