Black and white illustrations throughout by Pat Marriott. Ex library copy with associated labels, inserts, stamps and annotations. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Tape marks to endpapers. A few dog-eared corners. Boards assumed in good condition as covered with library laminated jacket. Boards are slightly bowed with some tape attached. Book has slight forward lean. Clipped jacket has light edge wear with minor tears, chipping and creasing. Spine noticeably sunned. Flaps tape-stained. Transparent sleeve is notably rubbed and marked to rear.

Synopsis

The Wolves of Willoughby Chase is a children's novel by Joan Aiken, first published in 1963. Set in an alternate history of England, it tells of the adventures of cousins Bonnie and Sylvia and their friend Simon the goose-boy as they thwart the evil schemes of their governess Miss Slighcarp. The novel is the first in the "Wolves" Saga, a series of books set during the fictional 19th century reign of King James III.
