About This Item

Mount Vernon, NY: The Peter Pauper Press. Very Good in Fair dust jacket. 1966. Hardcover. A presentation of lyric poems (poems that are meant to be sung) by the ancient Greek Saphho (c.630 BC – c.570 BC). The poems are accompanied by drawings by Stanley Wyatt. --- In terra cotta and black paper-covered boards with Wyatt image of Sappho to cover. Volume wrapped in jacket which repeats the cover art. --- A sound, tightly-bound copy, though with long tear at front joint which does not affect the stability of the binding. Price-clipped dust jacket with large triangular open tear to top of front panel, else intact.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; 61 pages .
