London: Smith, Elder & Co, 1911. Very good.. First printing of Doyle's second poetry collection, consisting of 33 narrative, philosophic, and "miscellaneous" verses. 6.75'' x 4.5''. Original gilt-stamped blue cloth. "February 1911" to dedication page. 137, [1] pages followed by [2] pages of publisher's advertisements. Though no provenance markings, this copy from the library of noted actor and Sherlockian Curtis Armstrong. Blank bookplate and illegibly faint owner stamp to front pastedown. Offsetting to endpapers, mild foxing scattered throughout. Moderate rubbing to boards.
