About This Item
A beautiful uncorrected proof of the first American edition [Viking NY 1980], inscribed by Nobel Laureate Nadine Gordimer directly on the title page. The book is in near fine condition with some creasing on the front cover and light spots on the rear cover of this fragile volume. The book has no remainder marks, a tight and square binding, with no owner inscriptions or highlighting and no marking. This proof has a hand-written title/author notation on the spine. Very early pre-publication proof and a must for the Gordimer completist. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
