Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1983. First edition. 8vo, 135pp. Green cloth backed yellow paper boards in illustrated jacket by Robert Andrew Parker. Some minor shelf wear and bumping to boards else near fine in like jacket, price-clipped and with a bit of rubbing along upper edge with two small edge tears, one of which is tape-repaired on the underside.

Synopsis
The Sign of the Beaver is a historical fiction children's novel by author Elizabeth George Speare, which has merited numerous literary awards. It was published in February 1983, and has become one of her most popular works. The Sign of the Beaver has also been made into a television movie, called Keeping the Promise.
