Pages clean except for some foxing along the head edges; no owners' marks; full cloth cover shows only some dust staining in gutters and very light edgewear at spine ends. Dust jacket shows short edge tears and chipping at spine ends and corners, fading along the spine, and modest toning visible in lighter-colored areas, otherwise sound, now protected in a clear sleeve. ix, 423pp. incl. index.
