Large octavo, xv, 398pp, [1]. Fine binding by Edmonds and Remnants of London, in a decorative full calf. Covers ornately stamped, with five raised bands and title in gilt on spine. All edges gilt with gauffering, marbled endpapers. Stated "Third Edition" on title page. Solid text block, lightly rubbed corners, sunned spine, faint foxing throughout. Bookplate of the Earl of Portsmouth affixed to front endpaper. A striking example.
