Spon, Ltd. & Spon & Chamberlain, 1915, first printing of this edition. 8vo., 5 3/4" x 8 5/8", x+245pp., plus 12 pages of publisher's ads., illustrated with b/w halftones and reproductions, plus 17 plates of attached paint samples. Burgundy cloth with gilt spine and cover titles, blind embossed cover design, 12 pages publisher's ads, plus 4 additional ads on flyleafs and pastedowns. One paint sample stuck to title page, mild offset darkening to a few pages facing some of the plates, light wear at spine ends, previous owner name stamp on half title, old retailer's stamp on rear pastedown. Very good, binding strong and attractive, all plates present and sharp. Scarce. Only 2 copies of this edition in WorldCat.. Fifth. Hard. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo.
